“I enjoy working at Children’s Discovery Academy because the teachers here are truly a family. We all work together ensuring that every child is given every opportunity to grow and learn throughout all stages of their development.

Teaching infants is so rewarding for me. Everyday I have the opportunity of watching the proud smile on each baby’s face when he or she learns and accomplishes something new. Receiving and giving hugs and smiles is truly a priceless reward for what I do.”

“It’s very rewarding to be back at Children’s Discovery Academy and I’m so excited to be part of the toddler classroom. Children’s Discovery Academy has always been a positive place to work. The best part of my job is forming great relationships with the kids, families, and co-workers. When I started in 2002, I watched kids grow from toddlers to school-age students and can’t wait to watch the same happen again. Children’s Discovery Academy is truly a family atmosphere and I’m proud to be part of it!”

“I love Children’s Discovery Academy for the small family feeling it has.  I started working here in 1990 because of my love for children and desire to help them become successful.  As time went on,  I experienced new and exciting rolls within the school, starting in the infant classroom and eventually moving into the Preschool classroom.   I really enjoy working with the preschool age group.  Since having my own children, I can’t think of a better place for them to have grown.   As they say “it takes a village to raise a child.”  Children’s Discovery Academy has been the constant source of support and family that I know I can count on.  Family is important.  I consider the families and my coworkers at Children’s Discovery Academy an extension of my own.”

I am excited for the opportunity to work with your preschool child!  With 5 years of experience working with infants through pre-k aged children, preschool is one of my favorite ages to teach.  In addition to my B.A., I have a minor in English, have completed a supporting program in deaf cultural studies, and also a certification that allows me to teach English as a second language.  I love teaching reading skills and instilling a love of literature at a young age.  From my world travels, I have learned there is much to learn from every culture.  I look forward to getting to know your child!

“It never ceases to amaze me the things I learn from my students each and every day. Having the opportunity to get to know not only the kids, but their families as well is such a rewarding feeling! My goal as an educator has always been to make an impact, but who knew I would be the one with that experience. Children’s Discovery Academy is such a wonderful place where I not only feel safe, but loved and cared for by everyone I encounter. I started out here when I was young, and I have so many people to thank for helping me to become not only the educator, but person I am today.”
