Infant Daily Schedule – Little Canada

The infant schedule will follow the individual needs of your child’s eating and resting patterns.  Each schedule will be modified by your child’s state of development and his or her individual needs.  Below is a general list of activities to illustrate a typical day at Children’s Discovery Academy.

Motor Development
Large Muscle:
Classroom Climber
Gross Motor Materials

Outdoor Equipment

Small Muscle:
Manipulative Toys (rattles, balls, busy box, pop beads, sand/water toys etc.)
Cognitive Toys (shape box, stacking rings, blocks etc.)

Language Development
Children will have use of equipment which will promote talking & listening.
Music
Hard & Soft Blocks
Pictures
Mirrors
Stuffed Animals
Musical Toys

Social/Emotional Development
This will be emphasized in all areas of the classroom.

Non-Mobile Area
This area is designed to provide a safe environment for non-mobile children while they’re involved in independent discovery time. This will include time in swings, under mobiles, in front of the mirror or quiet time with a teacher in a rocking chair.
