The infant schedule will follow the individual needs of your child’s eating and resting patterns. Each schedule will be modified by your child’s state of development and his or her individual needs. Below is a general list of activities to illustrate a typical day at Children’s Discovery Academy.
Gross Motor Materials
Large Muscle Room Toys
Manipulative Toys (rattles, balls, busy box, pop beads, sand/water toys etc.)
Cognitive Toys (shape box, stacking rings, blocks etc.)
Children will have use of equipment which will promote talking & listening.
Hard & Soft Blocks
This will be emphasized in all areas of the classroom.
This area is designed to provide a safe environment for non-mobile children while they’re involved in independent discovery time. This will include time in swings, under mobiles, in front of the mirror or quiet time with a teacher in a rocking chair.
