Pre-Kindergarten Daily Schedule – Little Canada

6:30-7:30 Free-play while other students are combined in the toddler classroom.

7:30-8:30 Free-play centers: Literature, Writing, Math, building, dramatic play, Science

8:30-9:00 Handwashing and breakfast.

9:00-9:15 Morning Meeting: calendar, weather, theme of the week discussion, letter of the week, classroom helpers, books, plan for the day.

9:30-10:20 Small Groups: theme of the week art, math, letter/number of the week activities

10:20-10:45 Handwashing and morning snack.

10:45-11:00 Large group: music & bathroom

11:00-11:45 Large muscle development: outdoor playground or indoor gym.

11:45-12:05 Transition Group: literature and Sign Language.

12:05-12:30 Handwashing and lunch.

12:30-1:00 Transition activity: group stories, bathroom, and handwashing.

1:00-2:30 Nap/rest time.

2:30-3:10 Handwashing, snack, bathroom

3:10-4:00/4:30: Large Group: & learning centers

4:00-4:45 Large muscle development: outdoor playground or indoor gym (4:30-5:00).

4:45-5:00/5:30 Small Group activities.

5:30-6:00 Table top activities

Note: Schedule allows time for transitions and schedule changes based on the children’s needs.  The schedule is subject to change based on the needs/interests of the children.
